In June, AFSL traveled to Brazil to meet with members of the fireworks industry. Our visit centered around the city of Santo Antônio do Monte, in the state of Minas Gerais, which is the headquarters of the Brazilian fireworks manufacturing industry. The area has a long history of fireworks manufacturing, with the first records of fireworks production in the area dating back to 1859.
